At last.
I suppose I should inform you what this blog is about. People seem to usually do that on their second posts, so I might as well.
I live in the coast of the Atlantic. I'm what you would probably consider an 'ick mutie'-- that is, a mutie that lives in water. (Ick, short for ich, short for icthyos, meaning fish, but it also means 'gross'. Apparently even speciists can be punny.) I've got gills on my cheeks, webbed fingers and toes, as well as slightly rubbery skin, along with loads of scars from chemical burns in the water. I swim daily with dolphins and whales, and occasionally, when I'm feeling daring, sharks. (The trick is NOT to cut yourself while swimming. Ever.)
There are those of you (probably most of you) who believe that we're slimy, stupid creatures who are little more than animals. The fact that I am posting on this blog proves I am NOT. I probably know more than you ever will about the world's oceans. Do not risk stereotyping me.
Shit-- the riot's moving this way. I have to get off of this. Tomorrow I'll show you my world.
